Introduction
The summary for the establishment of a sub-campus –Government College University Faisalabad-at District Chiniot was approved by the Government of Punjab in 2015 with the vision that university should introduce different programs in different disciplines for the benefit of local masses. The summary of the project was presented before the Chief Minister by Higher Education Division and it was approved in 2018. The land which is allocated for the development of sub campus is 101 Kanals and 16 Marlas at Chak No.14 JB, Chiniot. It is 8 kilometers away from the city center.
The Worthy Vice Chancellor of GCUF Prof. Dr. Shahid Kamal along with other administrative staff visited the site of the campus on February, 2020. Now two academic blocks are under construction at the said site with the approved capital cost of Rs 1676.561 million by CDWP. Currently, the temporary building which is just 3 kilometers away from the city Chiniot is operational for the classes of running semesters.
Our Teaching Faculty of all the Departments- Sociology, English, Mathematics, & BBA- is highly qualified, experienced and enthusiastic, who will provide the highest quality learning environment for the greater well being of our students and deliver an outstanding educational portfolio. In a short span of time, campus has made considerable progress in terms of academic development, as a huge response from the students of Chiniot is seen during the enrolment campaign.

Objectives
The main objective of the campus is to provide high quality and accessible education to the students of District Chiniot who in order to get higher education used to go to other districts. Initially, BS programs in four subjects (Sociology, English, Mathematics, & BBA) are being offered in the Institute of Arts and Sciences, GCUF, Chiniot campus. We are planning to offer more BS programs in the near future.
